Many leaking basements can be fixed or greatly reduced by just controlling how the rain, melting snow, and ground water flows on your property. By diverting water away from the foundation of your house using grades, swales, french drains, extending downspouts, or a combination of these measures, water entering the basement can be eliminated. Keeping water away from you home’s foundation in the first place, is a much more cost effective solution to a wet basement.
